I was running vmware 7.x installing and configuring win7. win7 froze and the whole machine with it. I'm not sure if the problem happened with win7 or the crash caused the freeze. Rebooted the machine and got the error report upon a reboot. So I don't know if this is part of the freeze or if this is from the actual reboot.

At the time of this crash, I was running "yum -y update" to apply some available updates.

None of the updates *appear* related to this application, but you never know.

Transcript of yum update session at the time of my crash

This shows the packages being updated/installed at the time nm-applet crashed.

Comment 9 Scott Marshall 2011-01-03 05:51:06 UTC
gnome-settings-daemon crashed about 5 seconds prior to this crash.

Refer to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=666443 for details about that crash (this was the 3rd crash).
