Comment 1 Dave Chinner 2010-12-09 00:09:29 UTC
Will probably require backprting these commits from upstream to fix:

1817176a86352f65210139d4c794ad2d19fc6b63 xfs: prevent swapext from operating on write-only files
dd77ef924c835c9813c3f4dc7e9c72e9cd88d238 xfs: more swap extent fixes for dynamic fork offsets
6bded0f383fd7971b76ad6c194dda7d5b814b871 xfs: clean up inconsistent variable naming in xfs_swap_extent
3a85cd96d3ab3c6dcf88b81fc6eaddb84e565a43 xfs: add tracing to xfs_swap_extents
e09f98606dcc156de1146c209d45a0d6d5f51c3f xfs: xfs_swap_extents needs to handle dynamic fork offsets

Given the fact this test (in conjunction with 227) was designed to expose a filesystem corruption bug cause by xfs_fsr, we probably should be fixing it
in the RHEL5 series.

Dave, sounds like it is worth starting the backport to rhel5.

thanks

in kernel-2.6.18-245.el5
You can download this test kernel (or newer) from http://people.redhat.com/jwilson/el5

Detailed testing feedback is always welcomed.
