Thanks for your catch!

I fixed it in f1[678] & rawhide.  Fix will be available in (possible) future
updates.

Are you sure this is the right course of action?  Autoconf is the upstream source of INSTALL; so unlike every other package out there, autoconf's version is actually the canonical one, and installing the INSTALL file lets other autoconf'd packages copy this canonical version.

Eric, you are right.  I missed the generality of this file, sorry.

Reopening, I'll revert this change.

Package autoconf-2.68-7.fc17:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing autoconf-2.68-7.fc17'
as soon as you are able to.
