happened in fedora 15 beta live cd too! And yes I lost some (not really important) data. It's a VERY dangerous bug imho, a crash of the installer is way more tolerable. In my opinion this *is* a blocker. so, I suspect the installer can't really do anything else, because it's just transferring a disk image. But it probably should warn you about what will happen in this situation... reporter wanted to propose this as a blocker. I'm probably -1 as it's not a regression and doesn't exactly hit any criteria, but I could see NTH...we're very very late in cycle, though. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers so, this is effectively a dupe of 629311, because the fix for that is simply that post-f15, you won't be able to re-use an existing / partition, live or non-live; installer team considers it fundamentally broken and un-supportable. so you won't be able to get in the situation in this bug. it would have been nice to have this fix in f15, but it's probably too late to change it now. -- Fedora Bugzappers volunteer triage team https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 629311 *** so after further investigation this is in fact different to that, un-duping. anaconda team thinks it may be a good idea to take this into f15 rc2. other votes?
