Description Dominic Hopf 2011-02-10 23:29:40 UTC
EPEL 5 still delivers mysql-proxy 0.5.1, even if it is at 0.8.1 in the meanwhile. EPEL 6 doesn't provide mysql-proxy at all.

I can support you in maintaining the package if you like. :)

Comment 1 Ruben Kerkhof 2011-02-11 16:52:43 UTC
Yes please, if you don't mind taking over the EPEL branches that would be great.

Comment 2 Dominic Hopf 2011-02-11 21:04:50 UTC
Just requested access to those branches in pkgdb. :)

Comment 3 Ruben Kerkhof 2011-02-11 21:14:51 UTC
And granted.. :)

Comment 4 Dominic Hopf 2011-02-12 20:05:18 UTC
Guess it won't be possible to build 0.8.1 for EPEL 5 due to missing or rather wrong Glib dependencies. The Glib on my Centos 5.5 machine is current and seems way to old for what MySQL-Proxy 0.8.1 is asking for.

Anyway, there is a successful scratchbuild for EPEL6 which can be found here:

Comment 5 Ruben Kerkhof 2011-02-13 13:47:50 UTC
Ah, that's a shame. I think I've tried building 0.8 for EPEL 5 before, but your right, the deps are too old.

If you've tested your build for EPEL6 then go for it!
