Could you give us exact steps how you copied and pasted the slide? Is it reproducible? If yes, does it crash with any presentation?

No, it is not reproducible, it seems like a random crash.
I just selected tab with preview of slides and tried to copy and paste a few slides to the new location.

Similar problem to bug 670020, also unknown reproduction route, but can try another bandaid to avoid crashing anyway
