I also hit this bug using the same image. This happens every time, even after reboot.

Using:
system-config-date-1.9.61-2.fc15.noarch

Fedora 15 Alpha live image updated for gnome3 beta test day - x86_64

After reading my comment again, I was not as clear as I should have been. The time does indeed change to reflect the new timezone but only after logout/login or reboot.

This does happen every time I've tried it. If I change the timezone, the date/time shown in gnome-shell does not change until logout/login or reboot.

Are you sure that you use s-c-date? I ask because I've observed this behavior in the gnome control center date/time "panel" (the one you get through the "System Settings" shell/panel menu entry).

No, I'm not sure that it is s-c-date. I thought that s-c-date and the date/time "panel" from the gnome control center were the same thing but it sounds like I was incorrect on that assumption.

I won't have access to my test system until Monday but I will look into it more at that time.

The upstream bug has been resolved, so closing this one.
