1.This is a browser issue i guess.
2. Create a self service user with wrong credentials (already taken name or email ID)
3. Save 
4. User validation fails and "Save" and other buttons disappear from screen .

This is most like related to bug 678441

I should have said this is related to bug 678441 because you can tab down to the "hidden" elements of the form.

This should not be happening since the login screen has been redesigned.

I cannot reproduce on the latest code snapshot: ac1a43fba3ed43c935b01522e4714fe20df6bb6c

Please provide more details and a screenshot if the issue is still there.

Self Service User Creation feature is not there now . 
Has it been removed permanently??
