How to reproduce
-----
1. Close rhythmbox
2. Wait a few secs (but not enough for rhythmbox to properly shutdown)
3. Open rhythmbox again (which it would actually bring the old instance up while it's still shutting down) and go to the preferences or plugins.

Once rb is ready to shutdown, it crashes instead.
