Description of problem:

describes the problem for older versions of AMANDA. It seems, it is supposed to be fixed. However, amgtar fails to function and quickly looking at the code, it seems it completely lacks all functionality to setuid/seteuid to 0.

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup amanda to do backups using amgtar application
2. It will fail because euid and uid are 'amandauser' not 0

Thank you for the bug report. It should be fixed in next update along with amstar and amservice.

Is it possible to get this fixed for F14 as well? (I am still in the process of testing this.)

Package amanda-3.2.2-2.fc15:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 15 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing amanda-3.2.2-2.fc15'
as soon as you are able to.
