Description Dave Jones 2011-05-27 21:26:11 UTC
Take a look at bug 708460

The summary says TAINTED, but the backtrace shows clearly that it's 'Not tainted'

Comment 1 Nikola Pajkovsky 2011-05-30 10:37:01 UTC
ABRT takes the tainted flag from /proc/sys/kernel/tainted and tainted flag is
set to 512, which is "Warning Issued". Why the kernel set tainted value, when backtrace says that kernel is not tainted?

Should we skip that flag? And if yes, are there any more flags to ignore?

Comment 2 Dave Jones 2011-06-03 04:09:19 UTC
The problem is that reading that file after an oops is ALWAYS going to show it as tainted.

Either parse the text from the oops, or don't do it at all.
