Description Matt Jones 2011-06-01 15:09:18 UTC
Description of problem:
The Tango Icon Theme uses 24x24 icons that are automatically upscaled from the 22x22 icons. The installer uses ImageMagick's "convert" tool. This tool by default is creating icons that do not appear transparent in most applications (nautilis, firefox, etc).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Tango icon theme
2. Enable Tango icon theme
3. Look at all the black backgrounds on your 24x24 icons

Actual results:
All of the 24x24 icons appear to have black backgrounds.

Expected results:
They should have transparent backgrounds

Additional info:
I was able to test and resolve this by altering each of the Makefile.am files in the 22x22 to explicitly name the output format at PNG32 for each of the 24x24 icons:

< $(CONVERT) $(size)/$(context)/$$icon 24x24/$(context)/$$icon; \
---
> $(CONVERT) $(size)/$(context)/$$icon PNG32:24x24/$(context)/$$icon; \
