Description Jim 2011-08-06 18:43:04 UTC
SELinux is preventing /usr/libexec/colord from using the 'execstack' accesses on a process.

***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ***************************

If you believe that colord should be allowed execstack access on processes labeled colord_t by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# grep colord /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol
# semodule -i mypol.pp

Comment 1 Daniel Walsh 2011-08-10 17:13:30 UTC
Colord should not need these accesses.

Comment 2 Richard Hughes 2011-08-11 07:37:29 UTC
Indeed, execstack is not required. If you change /etc/colord.conf to have "UseSANE=false", does the denial go away? libsane seems to be pretty insane sometimes.

Comment 3 Jim 2011-08-11 18:49:24 UTC
Yes - I made the change you suggested and the denial went away. I
shall change back to "true" and wait for the future fix.
