This can occur when there is a read error from the CD device during an install.

Could you check your CDs with these instructions:

  http://people.redhat.com/~msf/mediacheck.html

Even if this passes there are sometimes more silent CD failures which can causes
these issues.

Michael, we've been doing some installs and are seeing this exact same error, 
ending at the exact same package.  Sometimes it fails, sometimes it doesn't.  
We *know* it's not the media, since it fails on multiple sets of CDs as well as 
a hard drive ghost image of the .iso files.  Was there ever any resolution to 
this bug (I see lots of DUPS and NOTABUGS but no real resolution)?
