Option to dump to floppy when installation error occurs
This can occur when there is a read error from the CD device during an install. Could you check your CDs with these instructions: http://people.redhat.com/~msf/mediacheck.html Even if this passes there are sometimes more silent CD failures which can causes these issues. Closing due to inactivity. Please reopen this bug report if you continue to have problems. Michael, we've been doing some installs and are seeing this exact same error, ending at the exact same package. Sometimes it fails, sometimes it doesn't. We *know* it's not the media, since it fails on multiple sets of CDs as well as a hard drive ghost image of the .iso files. Was there ever any resolution to this bug (I see lots of DUPS and NOTABUGS but no real resolution)? Thanks, -- Brian I have the same problem, any solutions????? Changed to 'CLOSED' state since 'RESOLVED' has been deprecated. |
