Description of problem:
alsamixer crashes on launch

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Fedora 16 beta with recent updates
alsa-utils-1.0.24.1-3.fc15

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Terminal type: alsamixer

Actual results:
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Expected results:
To function.

Additional info:
Set to "urgent" because by default the optical S/PDIF port on Macbook Pro 4,1 (possibly others) is turned on. So it glows red, causing unnecessary power consumption and wear.

Will attach archived of /var/spool/abrt/ccpp..... folder.
