We can look at carrying this patch. It would of course be better if it was upstreamed. ;) Thanks for the pointer. This landed in the 4.9.x branch... Do you think it's worth backporting to 4.8? Or can you wait on this until 4.10 is out? Yes. I still use Fedora 15 and 16. Also I think it will useful for other users. Realy this unrealeased feature looks like a bug. Furthemore backporting this is not a difficult task, how I think.
