(In reply to comment #8) > Hi, could you please test biosdevname-0.4.0 and share results ? Sorry, 0.4.0 is available here - http://linux.dell.com/biosdevname/biosdevname-0.4.0/ Hi, Ok, everything works fine with this version : no more lockup/crashes or message in the logs and the startup is very fast. A note for those who have the same problem and can not start their computer, I added the kernel parameter biosdevname=0. (Press 'e' in the grub menu and look for the line below) I no longer need biosdevname=0 with version 0.4 Do you know when this version will be available in the repository ? Thank you very much for the help, biosdevname-0.4.1-1.fc17 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 17. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/biosdevname-0.4.1-1.fc17 Package biosdevname-0.4.1-1.fc17: * should fix your issue, * was pushed to the Fedora 17 testing repository, * should be available at your local mirror within two days. Update it with: # su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing biosdevname-0.4.1-1.fc17' as soon as you are able to. Please go to the following url: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-10778/biosdevname-0.4.1-1.fc17 then log in and leave karma (feedback). biosdevname-0.4.1-1.fc17 has been pushed to the Fedora 17 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report. |
