Mounding is handled through thunar-volman, not xfce4-mount-plugin. Please - tell me the version of thunar-volman - give me it's configuration file ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/thunar-volman.xml - make sure you are not running the mount plugin or anything else that may interfere with thunar-volman. thunar-volman-0.6.0-2.fc15.x86_64

I do have xfce4-mount-plugin as a panel item - is that not advisable?
OK I removed the mount-plugin from the panel and it seems to be behaving properly now! It might be an idea to have a note somewhere warning users that putting the mount-plugin icon on the panel will interfere with the thunar-volman behaviour - I didn't see anything like that unless I missed something obvious? Since the incorrect behaviour was due to a conflict between mount-plugin and thunar-volman I am going to close this bug. If this needs to be re-opened for further reporting or action please go ahead. I am making it "notabug" since I can't see a way forward with this apart from ensuring that users are aware of the conflict that causes the problem. |
