project_key: SOA

jboss.esb:service=MessageCounter service is missing from the CR1 build compared with the IR releases. Please, verify that is desirable or fix.

Based on the previous verification task, I'm assigning directly to you, Julian :)

Comment 1 Julian Coleman 2008-10-17 10:43:52 UTC
service=MessageCounter is visible in the JMX console on both embedded and
standalone.

Comment 2 Aleksandar Kostadinov 2008-10-17 11:15:12 UTC
look at http://hudson.qa.jboss.com/hudson/view/SOA-Release/job/soa-unix-scripts/57/
services-list.log for the 3 server - production, all and standalone

I see it though in the MBeans list. The test is considering a service any MBean that wither is:
1. subclass of ServiceMBean
or
2. subclass of StateManageable with attribute stateManageable being true

So I'd guess it has changed type?

Comment 3 Kevin Conner 2008-10-17 11:19:41 UTC
It is just a normal MBean now, no longer a subclass of ServiceMBean.

Comment 4 Julian Coleman 2008-10-17 11:24:32 UTC
Verified against src change.

Comment 5 Len DiMaggio 2008-10-17 14:01:05 UTC
Will we see any functional impact of this change? For example, in the JON console?

Comment 6 Kevin Conner 2008-10-17 14:05:09 UTC
None whatsoever as there was no reason for it to be a subclass of ServiceMBean in the first place. It doesn't have a lifecycle associated with it.
