Description of problem:

When clicking the relevant SSID in Gnome network setting no password dialog is present to the user. 

Trying to manually set the SSID and the password that goes with it nm-connection-editor, nm-connection-editor complains 

No session ID found for uid 1000 (Error statting file /var/run/ConsoleKit/Database: No such file or directory )
