Hi there,

after updating today to kernel-3.3.1-5.fc16.i686 (with yum), I'm afraid that SD cards aren't auto-mounted after inserted.

This worked with previous kernel-3.3.1-3.fc16.i686.

Just in case it helps, here is my SD card slot info:

03:01.1 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 19)
03:01.2 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C592 Memory Stick Bus Host Adapter (rev 0a)
03:01.3 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd xD-Picture Card Controller (rev 05)

There's really nothing between 3.3.1-3 and 3.3.1-5 that should impact that at all.  Only some media drivers were updated.

Was anything else updated at the same time?  Your yum log should show this.

Could it be that kernel-tools is the culprit?

After loading the system with kernel-3.3.1-3, card was auto-mounted when inserted, I loaded the system with kernel-3.3.1-5 and it worked fine (although it didn't work before).

So I'm closing the bug as errata (my guess as the closest match to invalid).

I don't know what is wrong here, but the SD card isn't automounted.

BTW, since I can only reopen the issue as assigned, could you reopen the bug for me?

I reopen the bug, since there is no automount only in SD cards with latest kernel updates.

I have a weird workaround, which is to suspend and awake the system again, but fixing the issue properly would be better.

Kernel 3.6.2-1.fc16 has just been pushed to updates.
This update is a significant rebase from the previous version.

Please retest with this kernel, and let us know if your problem has been fixed.

In the event that you have upgraded to a newer release and the bug you reported
is still present, please change the version field to the newest release you have
encountered the issue with.  Before doing so, please ensure you are testing the
latest kernel update in that release and attach any new and relevant information
you may have gathered.

If you are not the original bug reporter and you still experience this bug,
please file a new report, as it is possible that you may be seeing a
different problem. 
(Please don't clone this bug, a fresh bug referencing this bug in the comment is sufficient).

Here is the dmesg info when I insert them and it doesn't get recognized:

But if I suspend and restart again, I get it:

This message is a reminder that Fedora 16 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
