This was fixed in 1.2.11.3 which was unfortunately revoked due to other issues that I'm currently working on. Upstream ticket: https://fedorahosted.org/389/ticket/360 This was fixed in 389-ds-base-1.2.11.5-1.fc17. Closing. |

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 389-ds-base-1.2.11.1-1.fc17.x86_64 How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install freeipa on F-17 and observe installation 2. 3. Actual results: Installation is stuck on "adding DNS container", with no CPU or disk activity Expected results: Installation succeeds in under an hour Additional info: The offending command issued by the IPA installer: /usr/bin/ldapmodify -h vm-117.idm.lab.bos.redhat.com -v -f /tmp/tmpoTOfVD -x -D cn=Directory Manager -y /tmp/tmpgRB04I
