What kind of OS and VNC server does the remote machine run?

Can you please try the 1.0.0-4 update?

Comment 2 Sam Irlapati 2012-06-10 19:17:28 UTC
I just tried remmina-1.0.0.4 and scolling still does not work. The remote machine runs fedora 16.

Comment 3 Wim ten Have 2012-07-10 09:11:03 UTC
I see exactly same reported bug. Recently switching from F16 to F17 bringing version remmina-1.0.0-4.fc17.x86_64 i can within my remmina served remote desktops no longer use the scroll wheel :-( These improvements are terrible :-(.

You may like to look at this Ubuntu bug 952964 for cross reference. Sounds like there is a build option not correctly applied.

Comment 5 Sam Irlapati 2013-04-26 13:45:53 UTC
Sorry for being a pain, but there has been a fix out there for this bug for more than 6 months. Is it possible to speed up the process of incorporating the fix into fedora packages?

Comment 11 Sam Irlapati 2013-05-09 23:35:33 UTC
I have tried it and when in viewport fullscreen mode, it still does not work. In fact the remote window seems shifted to bottom and right such that i can see the local computers desktop.

Comment 12 Christoph Wickert 2013-05-10 19:59:27 UTC
What is "viewport fullscreen mode"?

Comment 13 Sam Irlapati 2013-05-13 14:22:03 UTC
Sorry for the late reply.

I use remmina to view a remote computer using the vnc protocol. So when viewing the remote computer, if you are in full screen mode (which can be selected from the toolbar). In the toolbar there are options for how the fullscreen mode should work. The options are "scrolled fullscreen mode" and "viewport fullscren mode". I prefer using the "viewport fullscreen mode". I hope you are able to find the option that switches to "viewport fullscreen mode".

Comment 14 Christoph Wickert 2013-05-16 11:39:34 UTC
And you mean you can scroll within the viewport or change the area of it?

Comment 15 Fedora Update System 2013-05-19 02:41:04 UTC

Comment 17 Christoph Wickert 2013-05-19 16:04:45 UTC
Pleae get back to me and reopen the bug if necessary.

Comment 18 Sam Irlapati 2013-05-20 23:36:36 UTC
I mean i cannot scroll. In the "viewport fullscreen mode" here are problems,

1. It is not a fullscreen. The remote machine shows up on 3/4 screen, the other 1/4th of the screen is the local computer.

2. When i move the mouse to the edge of the screen, it should scroll. Right now it does not scroll.

The bug still exists.

Comment 19 Fedora Update System 2013-05-24 20:45:37 UTC
remmina-1.0.0-7.fc19 has been pushed to the Fedora 19 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.

It still does not work. I still have the same problem as in comment #18. Can you please reopen and see if you can fix it.

Comment 21 Christoph Wickert 2013-06-07 13:44:16 UTC
Not really. Can you please file a bug in upstreams bug tracker and post a reference to it here?

Comment 22 Fedora End Of Life 2013-12-21 15:03:28 UTC
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora
'version' of '18'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version'
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be
able to fix it before Fedora 18 is end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version
of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora
version prior to Fedora 18's end of life.

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's
lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a
more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

Comment 23 Fedora End Of Life 2014-02-05 22:46:12 UTC
Fedora 18 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2014-01-14. Fedora 18 is
no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further
security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug.

If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of
Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you
are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the
current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this
bug.

Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
