Created attachment 590530 [details]
pan-0.137-validate-pass-after-get-server-auth.patch

Description of problem:
After upgrading to pan-0.137-1.fc17.x86_64, pan started segfaulting
on Groups -> "Get new headers in subscribed groups". I've filed an upstream bug with my analysis and working patch: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=677741

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
pan-0.137-1.fc17.x86_64

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In a previous version of pan, add "news.gmane.org" as a news server and subscribe to some groups.
2. Start pan-0.137, "Groups" -> "Get new headers in subscribed groups"

Actual results:
pan segfaults

Additional info:
I'll attached the same patch I filed upstream here for convenience.
