I've filed an upstream bug with my analysis and working patch: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=677741 Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): pan-0.137-1.fc17.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. In a previous version of pan, add "news.gmane.org" as a news server and subscribe to some groups. 2. Start pan-0.137, "Groups" -> "Get new headers in subscribed groups" Actual results: pan segfaults Additional info: I'll attached the same patch I filed upstream here for convenience.
