Description of problem:

The Opus audio codec is getting more and more attraction as it starts being used in a brunch of browsers (firefox 15, opera 12, Webkit, …) and reached in unifying high quality codecs (for HQ sound restitution) with low latency ones (audio/phone conversations) what makes it a perfect match for any audio web content and communication (WebRTC).
But for opera and webkit to deal with the opus format they need an underlying gstreamer which can decode it, that's why there is a need for gstreamer to be compiled against opus.

Opus seems to be part of upstream gstreamer-plugins-bad. Is there a reason why it's not packaged, any legal reasons?
Or maybe just a configure switch is missing.

Package gstreamer-plugins-bad-free-0.10.23-11.fc18:
* should fix your issue,
* was pushed to the Fedora 18 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing gstreamer-plugins-bad-free-0.10.23-11.fc18'
as soon as you are able to.

Nice ! I got the update on f17, it works nice. You got my karma ;)

Thanks for having fixed this, now opera and midori browsers should be able to decode opus files (thus I didn't tried by myself).
