Description of problem:
X server cannot detect external monitor (VGA-2 is disconnected). Checked with NVIDIA Optimus and discrete videocards.
Fail to boot with discrete video-card and external VGA boot monitor. Error while booting: 
'[drm] Initialized drm 1.1.0 20060810'

System boots when integrated card is chosen and doesn't boot in the case of 'discrete card'.

1.install Fedora 17
2.boot
3.plug external monitor
4.run xrandr

The external monitor not working from the Intel GPU is not a bug, it's expected due to the display not being physically connected to the Intel GPU.

It *should* work in Discrete mode however, and I'm marking this bug as a duplicate of the T520 Discrete mode hang bug.  It's likely the same cause.
