Anaconda log

Description of problem:
After confirming "This is unstable, pre-release software" dialog, Anaconda crashes

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
anaconda-18.6.5

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start installation
2. Select language, click "Continue"
3. Click "I accept my fate" in the dialog

Actual results:
Anaconda crashes because it fails to access /etc/chrony.conf

Comment 1 Jaroslav Reznik 2012-09-06 09:06:00 UTC
Confirmed, it was working in TC5 Live, proposing as a blocker: The installer must be able to complete an installation using the text, graphical and VNC installation interfaces.

I have no idea why this file disappeared. I can send a patch that would catch the exception and disable NTP servers configuration, but that would be far from ideal solution.

Comment 3 Vratislav Podzimek 2012-09-06 09:40:38 UTC
This happened on KDE spin and might be caused by the fact, that chrony is not an anaconda dependecy, but is just included in lorax templates. Sending patch adding chrony as anaconda dependency. Please touch "/etc/chrony.conf" before installation as a temporary workaround.

All live TC6 images are broken.

Comment 6 Vratislav Podzimek 2012-09-07 09:10:06 UTC
Patches for requiring chrony (and also rsync) and catching the exception pushed to the anaconda git repository.

+1 blocker. jreznik is +1 as he proposed this, so that's three (jreznik, me, Johann) - setting AcceptedBlocker.
