Description Zdenek Kabelac 2012-10-17 13:01:16 UTC
Description of problem:

It seems the process 'systemd-journal' is eating a lot of memory on my system.
(Running lots of test, thus producing lots of logs')

The max size I've noticed so far before restarting journal service was about 260MB - service restart fixes the issue for me for a while.

Looking at my: /etc/systemd/journald.conf
it's missing 'ImportKernel=no' from .rpmnew.

Is that a reason for unlimited memory growth ?

Yes, looks like there is a lot of file (already invisible in system)

/run/log/journal/xxxx/system.journal

in the process map.
