This is a race condition. This only happens in the test VM when the host is under heavy load. When it is not, English is visible. From what I could see it looks like English is selected before the list has been fully populated, so the further populating moves the selection out of the view again. I have experienced it a few times. Man, they don't make this stuff easy. Oh, that's because you need something else in the updates.img. But don't worry about it, because the fix I was trying out just moves the problem to the bottom of the view in certain cases. I've not seen it scrolled off the screen in a long time now, so I'm just going to close this as good enough. It's not ideal, but I've not been able to make it work the way I want even with a lot of trying. |
