I tried to report a problem today with Abrt (nepomukservicestub receiving a SIGSEGV). I get only this: --- Running report_uReport --- Server side error: '"Validation failed: error validating 'installed_package': missing mandatory element 'release'"' (exited with 1) Versions: abrt.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-addon-ccpp.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-addon-kerneloops.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-addon-python.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-addon-vmcore.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-addon-xorg.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-dbus.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-desktop.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-gui.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-libs.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-plugin-bodhi.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 abrt-retrace-client.x86_64 2.0.20-1.fc18 Thanks for your reports. Is it possible that you are trying to report older crashes (that were caught by previous versions of ABRT)? *** Bug 879765 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 879766 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I have the same problem when reporting automatically from kde. It works if I report the problem by opening ABRT and sending the bug from there about my above reply: it works sometimes, ussualy not. *** Bug 875034 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I get this bug reporting preventing bug too all the time. --- Running report_uReport --- Generating backtrace Server side error: '"Validation failed: error validating 'installed_package': missing mandatory element 'release'"' (exited with 1) Every time I try to file a bug, kind of ironic. I get this error when trying to submit a bug of nepomuksevicestub. Created attachment 702063 [details]
Bug which fails to report
I have this too on my F18, kernel 3.8.1-201.fc18.x86_64 and all packages up to date. it looks like the crash happens everytime I shutdown the computer. In case of doubt, I can confirm this problem remains, FC18 up to date. --- Running report_uReport --- Generating backtrace Backtrace is generated, 1692 bytes Core backtrace is generated and saved, 55 bytes Server responded with an error: 'Validation failed: error validating 'installed_package': missing mandatory element 'release'' (exited with 1) Encountered same problem with FC20 rawhide. # uname -ri 3.10.0-0.rc2.git3.1.fc20.x86_64 x86_64 --- Running report_uReport --- Generating core_backtrace Unable to find offset & function length: '[<ffffffffa01e0000>] ? 0xffffffffa01dffff' Core backtrace is generated and saved, 2048 bytes Server responded with an error: 'Validation failed: error validating 'installed_package': missing mandatory element 'release'' This happens when a crash occurs during shutdown - ABRT gets killed before it can finish gathering information and produces an incomplete report. Such reports are marked as not reportable now. |
