All files in /tmp which were not used within the last 10 days should be removed. This applies also to systemd-private-* directories. Did you alter the default configuration? Please see bug #866693. What's preventing those directories to be removed when they are no longer used or on every reboot as opposed to have them cleaned on fixed interval as in every 10 days? (In reply to comment #1) I did not change the default configuration; since the directories are in /var/tmp, automatic cleanup of /tmp does not affect them. Automatic cleanup happens in both directories. However, it's 30d instead of 10d, see /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/tmp.conf.
