You can set ONPARENT for aliases. *** Bug 238578 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** ONPARENT is obscure, other packages such as carp state you should set ONBOOT. I can see occasions where you you would want ONPARENT=yes and ONBOOT=no to bring the interface up at non-boot time when you want to restart the parent. |
