texlive-cm-lgc (in the next build) should obsolete tex-cm-lgc and provide the same functionality as before. (see bug #907728). The cm-lgc-fonts will be also provided as part of the texlive-cm-lgc package for use within texlive. The -roman-fonts -typewriter-fonts and -sans-fonts currently serve only fontconfig-related functionality with the rest of the Fedora system. I am inclided to retire this package, since I am not so sure about cm-lgc use outside TeX. Sorry about this - perhaps I was too eager to push the changes. I just wanted to fix the FTBFS: the old package would no longer build with current texlive. (In reply to comment #0) > An attempt to update to new ctan-cm-lgc packages fails as follows: "yum install tex-cm-lgc" works for me now. Probably you can try again. It often takes a day or two for rawhide to propagate to the mirrors. Maybe I should have waited for texlive before building the new package. (In reply to comment #3) > > "yum install tex-cm-lgc" works for me now. I am afraid that it does not for me. I was waiting few days for repos to get current packages and even after that: ... ---> Package ctan-cm-lgc-fonts-common.noarch 0:0.5-20.fc18 will be updated ---> Package ctan-cm-lgc-fonts-common.noarch 0:0.5-21.fc19 will be an update .... --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: tex-cm-lgc-0.5-20.fc18.noarch (@rawhide/18) Requires: ctan-cm-lgc-sans-fonts = 0.5-20.fc18 ..... (and see the original report). Yes, I can likely force this update after some to-and-fro with a 'yum shell' but this is not the point. With texlive-2012-17.20130310_r29324.fc19 update, which replaces previously installed tex-cm-lgc-0.5-20.fc18 with texlive-cm-lgc-svn28250.0.5-17.fc19, ctan-cm-lgc packages finally update. That has possible other issues (see bug 920799) but not in these packages. Ok thanks - I am still a bit unclear on the intermediate problem you were experiencing, but if it is fixes now then good. (In reply to comment #6) > I am still a bit unclear on the intermediate problem you were > experiencing ... Eh? As long as there is an installed package which has "ctan-cm-lgc-sans-fonts = 0.5-20.fc18" and similar in requirements trying to update to something which does not provide that is bound to cause conflicts. And tex-cm-lgc-0.5-20.fc18, now eventually replaced, had such requirements. |
