After specific NPE issues at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/871802 got solved, there is no NPE, but Disks may be remain in locked status (see comment #6 in the described bug).
This issue should be taken care of - in case compensation occurs after restart , images should not remain in LOCKED state.

I have a feeling that once Bug 873546 ("Commands end in successful state after engine restart even if not all their associated tasks were created") will be solved the above issue will not exist.

Patch http://gerrit.ovirt.org/#/c/12128/5 solves this bug.
