Description Marcel Hergaarden 2013-03-29 16:59:19 UTC
Description of problem:

While using the RHS2.0 update 4 (ANSHI) installer, a static IP can be entered
After the installation sequence, the system reboots and then has a dynamic IP.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

RHS2.0 update 4 March 2013

How reproducible:

Install the RHS product, configure static IP during installation.
After reboot, system has a dynamic IP

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install from ISO: RHS-2.0-20130320.2-RHS-x86_64-DVD1.ISO
2. Configure static IP address
3. Complete installation and reboot

Actual results:

System has a dynamic IP (DHCP)

Expected results:

Should have a static IP address as configured during setup

Additional info:

Also IPv6 is initialized though this was turned off during setup

Comment 3 Gowrishankar Rajaiyan 2013-04-09 16:19:35 UTC
1. Installed from ISO: RHS-2.0-20130409.0/2/RHS/x86_64/iso/
2. Configured static IPv4 address
3. deselected IPv6
3. Completed installation and rebooted

Result
1. System now has static IP (configured at step 2)
2. BOOTPROTO="static" in ifcfg-ethX.
3. IPV6INIT does not exist in ifcfg-ethX.
