Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager now supports a virtual watchdog device which can be used to pause, reset, dump a guest. The watchdog model and action options can be set from the New Virtual Machine -> High Availability tab in the administration and user portals.
Note that in order to use the watchdog device you need the relevant drivers depending on the guest operating system.

*** Bug 809635 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** as the action "none" is available also default watchdog model should not be set to blank but set to "none" instead also watchdog action field should be available for user after adding watchdog model user is able to choose: watchdog_model: "" watchdog_action: "reset" Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
