File: dmesg
Microcode error fallowed by warning. do you have this one? http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/iwlwifi/iwlwifi.git/commit/drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi?id=2d5d50ee596361566f7f84300117cba7d7672bc5 There are 2 issues here: a) the fw sends an NMI b) the restart flow is buggy while we will all agree that a) shouldn't happen, in this case, it is very hard to debug, and very hard to reproduce too. This is why there is a restart flow. The restart flow triggers a warning but this should have been fixed by the commit above. (In reply to comment #3) > do you have this one? > http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/iwlwifi/iwlwifi.git/commit/ > drivers/net/wireless/iwlwifi?id=2d5d50ee596361566f7f84300117cba7d7672bc5 Nope, warning was generated on 3.8.4 kernel and that patch was committed to 3.8.6. Morné, please install this kernel http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=5317525 and inform us if it fixes the problem. I have since upgraded the kernel to 3.8.8, and it seems to have fixed the issue. Will continue to monitor. I'm closing this bug, please reopen if problem occurs again. *** Bug 961598 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
