Description Jakub Filak 2013-05-09 17:15:05 UTC
Description of problem:
ABRT has recently started reading os-release because parsing redhat-release and similar files is neither maintainable, nor reliable. For Fedora, there is a nice mapping from os-release to Bugzilla product (-> NAME) and Bugzilla product version (-> VERSION_ID) but Rawhide is an exception. The rawhide exception is not yet supported by ABRT and IMHO the exception should not be added to ABRT. As we discussed here [1], os-release is extensible file and vendor can add own keys.

ABRT currently supports these keys:
  REDHAT_BUGZILLA_PRODUCT
  REDHAT_BUGZILLA_PRODUCT_VERSION
  REDHAT_SUPPORT_PRODUCT
  REDHAT_SUPPORT_PRODUCT_VERSION

Comment 2 Adam Williamson 2013-07-08 15:48:25 UTC
Can we please get this fixed up? We really need bug reporting from Rawhide to work.

Comment 3 Dennis Gilmore 2013-07-08 16:28:59 UTC
While i object to the fields ive added them.

hopefully its been done right as the bug is not clear on whats really needed for them.
