Can anyone tell me how long can you guys fix that?

I've been stayed in waiting status since May but now nearly August nothing has been changed, and all rawhide people cannot report any bugs here so far.

Comment 6 Jakub Filak 2013-07-16 07:42:59 UTC
(In reply to Christopher Meng from comment #5)
It seems that this bug has been already fixed.

I've filled this bug https://partner-bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=947276 with /etc/os-release from fedora-release-20-0.3

Comment 7 Christopher Meng 2013-07-16 07:55:40 UTC
Funny, if you said that it had been fixed, then why I still cannot report anything?

Everytime when I want to report a bug in ABRT, the screen will show me this:

Comment 8 Jakub Filak 2013-07-16 08:16:39 UTC
D'oh, you've probably found a new bug. Because if the remote core dump analysis fails, ABRT should continue with the local core dump analysis.

What is your local configuration?

$ cat ~/.config/abrt/settings/*

Comment 9 Christopher Meng 2013-07-16 08:17:55 UTC
[root@fab rpmaker]# cat ~/.config/abrt/settings/*
AutoreportingEnabled = "yes"
abrt_analyze_smart_ask_upload_coredump = "yes"
abrt_analyze_smart_ask_perform_local_analysis = "yes"
abrt_analyze_smart_ask_upload_coredump = "yes"

Comment 10 Jakub Filak 2013-07-16 08:28:53 UTC
Could you please, modify your configuration in the following way

abrt_analyze_smart_ask_perform_local_analysis = "no"
abrt_analyze_smart_ask_upload_coredump = "no"

, re-test and report the results here.

Comment 11 Christopher Meng 2013-07-16 08:38:09 UTC
Hi,

I was just going to change them but suddenly I found that they are both no now !

But I haven't done anything!

I could just remember is that I just entered the abrt settings interface after I sent comment 9 to you.

Now I just sent an bodhi bug report, no problem.

But when trying to send a gnome-shell problem, the error occured again.

Comment 12 Jakub Filak 2013-07-16 09:25:10 UTC
(In reply to Christopher Meng from comment #11)
We cannot reproduce this unwanted behaviour. However ABRT updates the configuration when you switch on "Don't ask me again" checkbox. Isn't this a cause of the changes in your configuration?

Comment 13 Jakub Filak 2013-07-16 15:01:29 UTC
Fixed in upstream git:

I think I have finally figure it out. You have to update your problems which have been detect before you updated fedora-release. The problem directories contains a copy of /etc/os-release in file named 'os_info' and ABRT uses these backed-up files and not the current /etc/os-release file.

The following command should fix it (do not run it as root):

find /var/tmp/abrt -name "os_info" -exec cp /etc/os-release '{}' \;

Comment 15 Christopher Meng 2013-07-17 01:17:18 UTC
Most problems are caused by root, and only few of them are normal user's.

I have to run as root because all permissions are denied. I first tried to run as non-root, but after then it still failed. Then tried with root, same results.

And this fix is useless now...

Well I'm bored with these problems, can you tell me if I reinstall abrt can solve the problem?

Comment 16 Jakub Filak 2013-07-17 06:36:12 UTC
(In reply to Christopher Meng from comment #15)
1. update abrt to 2.1.5-2.fc20
2. select all your problems in gnome-abrt and push 'Delete' (or run 'rm -rf /var/tmp/abrt/*')
Everything should work after that.

Comment 17 Christopher Meng 2013-07-17 06:39:08 UTC
I've done this in the morning, but I forgot to run abrt again.

I'll test tomorrow.

You can close this bug and if I still meet problems I'll contact with you in private.

Thanks!
