See bug #768811 comment 17. It isn't entirely clear what the best way forward is for this unfortunately. Hi Tim, How about a newer version of CUPS that has the issue corrected? -T (In reply to Todd from comment #4) > How about a newer version of CUPS ? Todd, that's called "rebase" and we generally don't rebase in RHEL, we only back-port fixes to the current version. If you mean cups-1.6 that Tim mentioned in bug #768811 comment 17, then it's actually not cups-1.6 that hopefully fixes it but the other package he mentions there: cups-filters. Moving from cups-1.5 to cups-1.6 & cups-filters in Fedora-19 (as described in http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/CUPS1.6) was a big change and we most likely don't want such a change in RHEL-6. This request was evaluated by Red Hat Product Management for inclusion in the current release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Because the affected component is not scheduled to be updated in the current release, Red Hat is unable to address this request at this time. Red Hat invites you to ask your support representative to propose this request, if appropriate, in the next release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 transitioned to the Production 3 Phase on May 10, 2017. During the Production 3 Phase, Critical impact Security Advisories (RHSAs) and selected Urgent Priority Bug Fix Advisories (RHBAs) may be released as they become available. The official life cycle policy can be reviewed here: http://redhat.com/rhel/lifecycle This issue does not appear to meet the inclusion criteria for the Production Phase 3 and will be marked as CLOSED/WONTFIX. If this remains a critical requirement, please contact Red Hat Customer Support to request a re-evaluation of the issue, citing a clear business justification.
