I was disappointed that the latest Ardour (really the premier DAW software of the F/OSS world) is not in Fedora 19. It's only 2.8.16. Fedora is supposed to be about having stuff "First."

Ardour 3 has already been out for a while. It's stable and far preferable to version 2. Many Linux audio fanatics already used it when it was beta, but to not have it in Fedora by now is a sorry situation.

So, to the person who packages Ardour: please consider moving it up to version 3. Thanks!

I completely agree with your assertion. However,as the ardour2 packager, I do not have the time to maintain more packages. 

There was a discussion between me, Nils, and Hans this March about packaging ardour3 separately. I submitted my partial work (attached) but I do not know if anyone made further progress. Hans is already in the CC. I am adding Nils as well.
