Description of problem:
Since the introduction of gnome-shell, it has been necessary to go in and
disable animations in order to get rid of the slow and highly annoying
animations when switching between virtual desktops.

However, since the Fedora 19 migration, the animation setting is reset
on every reboot :(

It happens both when correcting the setting via dconf-editor and like this:
dconf write /org/gnome/desktop/interface/enable-animations false

Please get this fixed asap - these animations are one of the most annoying
and irritating features of gnome-shell.

Having them as an option for those who like this kind of glitter - fine, no
problem. Forcing them upon people who are trying to use their computer, not
ok!

How reproducible:
Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Disable window animations using command above
2. Reboot the system, login again, switch to another virtual desktop using your
   hot-key, like Alt-F1
3. Pull your hairs out, yell frustrated at the computer 

Actual results:
Window animations are re-enabled

Expected results:
Keeping my sanity

Hi Jes,

I've searched some information about the same issue (cos it drives me crazy too) and I found this BZ https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=971677, there you can find workaround, so I suppose your BZ issue can be marked as DUPLICATE. Anyway I'm looking forward for proper fix.
