Description of problem:
The gLSB 1.9 (currently WIP but accepted by spec review) contains these changes
which the following patch fixes:

- start_daemon, killproc and pidofproc have a -p pidfile argumen
- killproc exit status code fixed (if the program is not running)

Patch to come. highlighted gLSB init script changes (not 100% complete):

Some exit error code fixed would be nice but are only "should" and not "shall"
in the gLSB.

Thanks for the patch;  support was added in initscripts-8.22-1.  The remaining
part is a patch to redhat-lsb, in attachment 123705 [details].

NEEDINFO_ENG has been deprecated in favor of NEEDINFO or ASSIGNED. Changing
status to ASSIGNED for ENG review.

to review this problem report further and diagnose or fix the
issue if it is still present.  Since it has been thirty days or
more since we first requested additional information, we're assuming
the problem is either no longer present in the current Fedora release, or
that there is no longer any interest in tracking the problem.

experience this problem after updating to our latest Fedora
release and can provide the information previously requested,
