User has to provide [groupId, artifactId (is filled with the project name), version] when he is creating a new project. The version could be filled with "1.0" (user can still change it if he wish)
Michael, this seems to be about new project (not process as incorrectly in the summary).
(In reply to Kris Verlaenen from comment #1) > Michael, this seems to be about new project (not process as incorrectly in > the summary). You are right Kris, it's about the project - sorry for that mistake.
Pedro, is this something someone from your team might be able to quickly solve? Should be an easy fix and I think it might be worth the effort. Maybe also pre-fill the package (with org.kie or maybe taking name of organizational unit or repo name as part of the generated package name)?
New project default version set to 1.0. Fix can be picked up from: master URL: http://github.com/droolsjbpm/kie-wb-common/commit/fbee84bc0 6.0.x URL: http://github.com/droolsjbpm/kie-wb-common/commit/5e504e8fa The package for now has not been preset. One possible solution would be to use a system property so that everybody can freely decide whether to and to what the package should default, but this I will implement in an improvement for the project name that is set to go into the next release (BZ 1026785).
