Hey Kris -
       The question is:

Will the 6.0.0 JBoss Drools works okay with the SOA 5.x compatibility installation (any server incompatibilities, etc)?

     Thanks

The idea is that the Drools & jBPM plugins would support older versions too. So, based on the ability to configure your own runtime and backwards compatibility of resource files, that should be possible.

Kris, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't 6.0 always used for rule validation inside the editor etc.?

Any more discussion on this one? Given the component tech leads comments and the fact that is assigned back to me - I plan on closing this JIRA tomorrow if there are no further comments.

From Kris - there is no issue - the current drools/jBPM has backward compatibility built into them:

The idea is that the Drools & jBPM plugins would support older versions too. So, based on the ability to configure your own runtime and backwards compatibility of resource files, that should be possible.

Comment 9 Paul Leacu 2013-09-23 17:57:57 UTC
See Comment 8 - no issue (from component tech lead).
