Description Trond Eivind Glomsrød 2000-03-10 13:20:47 UTC
Snapshot 6.1.98

I have a Dell Inspiron 3500 laptop with a 1024x768 LCD panel and a 2.5 MB
Neomagic chipset.

I used kickstart configuration with the LCD panel specified, but kickstart
produced a 640x480 file. This isn't a good choice for a laptop...

(I know how to produce my own file, I'd just prefer it to work in the
kickstart mode :)

Forwarding this issue to a developer.

Comment 4 Brock Organ 2000-05-03 22:39:59 UTC
does it still behave this way using 6.2? ... does adding a post-section running
Xconfigurator improve things...?

(ie appending this to your kickstart file:
%post
Xconfigurator --kickstart
)

Comment 5 Matt Wilson 2000-07-27 23:13:38 UTC
It's yours to fix. :)

Comment 6 Trond Eivind Glomsrxd 2000-08-02 13:43:02 UTC
It still happens with Xconfigurator --kickstart...

Not if I specify the monitor correctly - doh. (this monitor had changed from
4.3.37 to CVS)
