I did not do any configuration. Just package install. Are there further steps required?
Matthias, please have a look at these: https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_OpenStack/3/html/Installation_and_Configuration_Guide/Building_Object_Storage_Ring_Files.html http://docs.openstack.org/grizzly/openstack-object-storage/admin/content/preparing-the-ring.html People versed in RDO and RHOS generally recommend using Packstack. I am old-fashioned and crusty, so I just run ring builders by hand. I'm going to close this as NOTABUG, for now at least. There does not appear to be a way to have some kind of minimally useful ring layout configurated automatically when RPMs are installed without hurting people who install the multinode. And multinode is more important than small and test installs.
