Created attachment 810332 [details] the sreenshot after the configured time(30 sec) Description of problem: Do a default install,after reboot , try to lock the sreen by the fowlling steps: "User menu" - "Settings" - "Privacy" - "Screen Lock" nothing happened after the configured time. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): F20-Beta-TC2 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Nothing happened after the configured time Expected results: Screen should turn off and lock after configured time. Additional info:
Are you logged in as a network user provided by SSSD, nss_ldap or winbind? If so, you're probably hitting BZ# 1013721
I ran into this. If in your 'Power Settings' you have 'Blank Screen' set to 'Never,' then the timing will never kick in. If you set the time for the blank screen, then the screen lock should work. The screen lock timing is dependent on the screen going blank. // Mike
