Description Vaclav Ehrlich 2013-10-25 14:30:55 UTC
Description of problem:
VM is shutdown by doubleclick on Shutdown button. After first click VM goes to Shutdown state but it hangs and waits for second click.
If user opens console dialog box with options "Shutdown, restart, ..." is on the screen. This dialog box should be the blocker for the final shutdown.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
spice-vdagent-0.10.1-1.el5

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log into UserPortal with installed VM (and VM is up)
2.Click on Shutdown button

Actual results:
VM goes into shutdown state, but it doesn't go to shutdown

Expected results:
VM shuts down

Additional info:
Client: RHEL 5.10 32b
Guest: RHEL 5.10 64b

Is rhev-guest-agent installed ?
Also is ACPI configured?

I wonder if what you're doing is hard powering off the vm?

Comment 2 Vinzenz Feenstra [evilissimo] 2013-11-06 15:27:18 UTC
Is the rhevm-guest-agent or qemu-guest-agent installed on that guest OS?

Comment 3 Vaclav Ehrlich 2013-11-20 10:27:32 UTC
Spice agent is installed and running.

spice-vdagent-0.10.1-1.el5
spice-vdagentd (pid 2568) is running...

If I use Power Off button VM goes down as expected.

How should be ACPI configured ?

Comment 4 Vinzenz Feenstra [evilissimo] 2014-01-22 14:42:08 UTC
Well you're simply missing the rhevm-guest-agent or qemu-guest-agent for this to complete.

We're not utilizing the spice vdagent for this.
